BlitzMax and 64-bit Ubuntu: A Comparison with Other Programming Languages and Environments

It is assumed that you will be targeting the same architecture as the version of Linux you are building upon. So for example,if you are using 64-bit Linux, you are likely to be building 64-bit applications.

BlitzMax and 64-bit Ubuntu

While it is possible to build 32-bit applications on 64-bit Linux, we do not encourage it as you may often find there arevarious dependency issues when trying to get the development environments configured.

For Windows, there are 3 releases available. Each provides a different version of the MinGWtoolchain depending on whether you are targetting 32-bit or 64-bit Windows applications. If you are not sure, just pick the 32/64 bit release, which allows you to build applications for both. 2ff7e9595c
